The print appears to be an anonymous etching after the design by Isaac Cruikshank which illustrates another recorded edition of this comic poem published in London in 1796 by Laurie & Whittle and printed by John Rider.
Summary:
A Frenchman is shown addressing a Dutch family, gesturing towards a building at left with one hand as he does so; a man stands with bent knees to his immediate left, smoking a pipe and looking on in amusement; at far right, a ship is partially visible.
