Each drawing is signed by the artist and inscribed with a title below the image in pen and brown ink, marginal sketches in right and upper margins and brief annotation in upper margin in pencil, "The Boys Book / Irish Pipes"; in pencil on mount at lower right: p. 99.
Drawing shows a view of the Irish camp on Vinegar Hill, sentinels posted on the windmill, rebels shooting their prisoners to the left and others eating and drinking to the right around a large cauldron, with a priest giving a service beyond; with three small graphite sketches of two figures and a windmill, executed in the upper and right hand margins.
