Proof of a wood engraving on india paper after an illustration by Doyle, probably created for publication in an unidentified issue of Punch or Punch's pocket book.
Summary:
Illustration shows the Royal arms flanked by the British lion and unicorn; in the background is a tree flanked by the figure of Britannia, a sailing ship, wheat sheaves, and farmer in a smock; the words "The state" are engraved at foot in decorative lettering.
