Summary:
The subjects include a number of pages of romping cherubs and some centaurs executed in red chalk, several pages of marine deities, angels and animals in blue chalk, and numerous pages of designs for initials and book illustrations in pencil, including those for "The Song of Songs" and Virgil's "Aeneid".
The designs for Virgil's "Aeneid" are related to the large unfinished study for an illuminated page in the Library (Acc. No. 1961.28).
