Contains 41 illustrations and 32 decorated words or initials, originally on 47 leaves (1 blank), bound in paper covered boards, now matted and cataloged separately as 1982.10:1-46 (73 records).
Twenty-one illustrations inscribed with portions of the text in pen and black ink or graphite.
The illustrations, executed between 1854 and 1856, are the earliest surviving drawings by the artist and include one of the 3 designs reproduced in the book.
