Inscribed on mount, at lower center, in pen and brown ink, "Rafaelle d'Urbino / in Firenza / Veduto Fra: Bartolomeo"; on verso of mount, in pen and brown ink, on the Sachsen collector's mark, "I and 100"; at lower left, "Kühlen"; at lower right, in Kühlen mark, in pen and brown ink, "42".
