The one to the right wears laurel leaves under his tam and is playing a set of bagpipes with a ribbon reading "ITCH DIEN" fluttering from one of the pipes. Two smaller figures in kilts dance behind them; small inscription near their feet reads "Scotch aldermen". Above the piper another inscription reads, "Sir Peter's acoming Oh dear Oh dear! / Pur new Mayor's acoming Oh dear Oh dear! / He'll gi'us a Fiddle I verily fear -- / Here's Sawney acoming Oh dear Oh dear!!"
