Print with letterpress text printed on two strips of paper affixed to the top and bottom of the sheet above and below the image; with four stanzas of comic verse in four columns on the lower attached strip, first lines: See in the front the Captain stand, Bold leader of this Warlike Band ...; last lines: ... Those hands to brandish Sword and Shield, Which needle erst were wont to wield.

Summary: 

Print shows a room with a large, low table where a group of tailors are at work, while a group of a group of men in officers uniform sit around the table, with one man in uniform wearing a cocked hat and holding a gavel sits cross legged on the table top; at right, another man in military uniform measures the arm of a man in civilian clothes with measuring tape, while two other men dressed as civilians stand before a doorway at far right; tailors' tools hang from the back wall, along with a notice which reads, "Articles of the Committee as drawn up at the desire of Jas. Bodkin Chairman"; a picture showing a man on horseback hangs over the doorway at right, with the words "To Brentford".
