Summary:

A smiling young man in a blue coat and a brown cap flies over the ocean by means of a large kettle labeled "PATENT" strapped to his back; dark steam issues from the kettle's spout, which is shaped like a snake or bird's head. In one hand he carries a plaid bag initialed "G"; in the other, a contraption for picking up objects at a distance. Below him in the ocean a sailing ship and a steam ship cruise by, and a few distant gulls fly.
