"The print was commissioned and paid for (£5 5s. 0d. to Gillray for etching it) and probably designed by F. Hawkesworth of Hickleton Hall near Doncaster (himself an amateur etcher), the payment being sent in a letter dated 18 Nov. 1799."--George.
Summary:
