Inscribed at lower right, with monogram, in red chalk, "SPM". On verso, at upper right, in older hand, in red chalk, "12"; at center, in graphite, "6687 (encircled) / 7-11-28 / D"; at lower left, in brown ink, "N. 149. / Claus Vischer. geb. 1580" (also repeated in graphite, without number).
Watermark: Small shield with three things (illegible) inside, centered on chain line, design (not found in Briquet).
