André Dunoyer de Segonzac

André Dunoyer de Segonzac regularly exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Indépendants and at the Salon d'Automne during the early decades of the twentieth century. His paintings, drawings, and prints from this period owe a great debt to the Cubists, as evidenced in this drawing of an andogynous nude. The figure's legs are flexed and arms are bent, displaying the artist's interest in rendering movement.
