Caption continues: Miss Angela Lovell (with the best intentions in the world). "I cannot bear your handsome men, Mr. Peppercorne. They seem to think it is never worth their while to make themselves agreeable. Now, plain people generally---" Mr. Riley Peppercorne. "Oh, hang it! - There, I beg your pardon - but this is the third time a lady has made that very remark to me this evening! Why not let a fellow think that you think he's good-looking and agreeable, too?"
