Watermark: since the drawings are laid down, no watermarks, if any, are visible, even with fiber-optic light.
Not engraved in the 1607 or 1612 editions of the "Emblemata Horatiana".
Possibly this sheet, unknown in purpose, was substituted by the collector who arranged Van Veen's drawings in the Morgan album for one of the two designs he lacked from the 1607 "Emblemata".
