Summary:
King William IV (left), in crown and robes, sits in an arm-chair, awkward and undistinguished. Queen Adelaide, ungainly in a trimmed décolletée dress, and with feathers in her hair, left hand at her waist makes a contemptuous gesture of admonition or dismissal towards the King.
