Sendor creates paintings, drawings, and films based on complex, psychologically charged narratives indebted to Surrealism. Relying on a meticulous, photorealist style, he cultivates ambiguity between modes of representation, often repeating the same image with slight variations that throw into question the concept of replica. Seven Sisters Waterfalls juxtaposes two drawings based on the same photograph of a waterfall in Norway. Although they are rendered in a highly detailed manner, dislocations introduced at different places in each drawing create fractures in the images, so that these pencil drawings look like digitally manipulated photographs.
