Blue morocco, treble interlacing Grolieresque border tooled in gilt. Mosaic polychrome (leather and paints), gilt, and black-ruled onlay figure of Pepys. Spine in 6 compartments, separated by false bands. Lower turn-in signed in gilt "Bound by Riviere & Son"; ink notation on front cover pastedown: "R 120 -- 60.00 also (118) Full calf 22.00"; in PML case.
