Satirical print possibly inspired by the retreat of the British troops under Prince Frederick, the Duke of York, from the Netherlands in Spring of 1795, at Britain's unsuccessful conclusion of the Flanders Campaign.

Print shows a street peddler, full length and facing left, with a tray of plaster of paris figurines balanced on the top of his head; the figures represent soldiers marching behind an aristocratic figure (i.e., the Duke of York?) crowned with laurels, who is preceded by two figures wearing tunics and feather headresses and carrying axes or tomahawks; the soldiers carry a flag reading, "See the conquering hero comes", and the street seller is saying, "Who buy my march from Greenwich / Who buy my conquering Hero / It be worth one half crown, be de / exact representation / all plaister a Paris."
