This sheet retains traces of an underdrawing that reveals the careful attention paid to an accurate projection of the perspective. Bibiena sets would not have included painted figures, so this drawing might record a live production (perhaps as a preparatory study for a commemorative engraving). Alternately, it could be an independent drawing exercise.
