Each drawing is signed by the artist and inscribed with a title below the image in pen and brown ink, marginal sketch in graphite at upper right; in pencil on mount at lower right: p. 180.
Drawing shows Father Murphey, holding out his hand to a group of rebels under his command to show them a number of bullets and prove to them the inefficacy of the British ammunition, the British troops under a mounted officer and with cannons beyond; with a small sketch of a building in the upper margin at right.
