Drawing is signed by the artist and inscribed with a title below image in pen and brown ink, numbered "11" at head of sheet; on verso of mount: Vol. II, p. 118.
Drawing shows a scene in Marylebone Gardens; a gathering of elegantly dressed figures mingle amongst the tall slim trees lining the promenade in the garden, behind them a band plays from the Orchestra; in foreground a man stands looking shocked as he stares at an older gentleman and woman approaching from the right.
