Summary:

Pierpont Morgan astride Europe and America like a colossus, the Atlantic Ocean beneath him, with one foot in France and the other near Wall Street; in both hands he grips a web of rope or string attached to the various financial institutions and industries of the world; on his lapel is a tag reading "American Citizen".
