Formerly attributed to Salvatore Rosa, and then housed with the anonymous drawings; an attribution to Spinelli was suggested by Carel van Tuyll, in comparison with a drawing in the Teyler Museum, inv. A 010 (van Tuyll, Italian Drawings of the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries in the Teyler Museum, 2021, no. 785).
