Lodges of/ dried, thin-stick faggots. Scabby/ houses like remnants after fire or banks/ of sand. And ghastly black lava./ Ploughing with the foot in steady/ walk"; "to 44 or 6/ 44" 10 wall to wall/ 19" 8 x 2 = 39 4./ shaft to shaft"; "d'Angelo in/ Fornn's [?]/ painted/ which 12th". Inscribed on verso in graphite, "by J. Ruskin".
