After Gerard Soest, called Zoust (Dutch, ca. 1600-1681 London). Gerard Zoust was a Dutch artist active in England. When Vertue made this drawing, Zoust's picture was in the collection of Horace Walpole (British, 1717-1797) at Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, London. Jan Griffier (Dutch, 1656-1718) was a Dutch artist active in England. Not in Fairfax Murray.
