Notes:
This is the preliminary cartoon for the curtain of the Teatro Regio di Torino. There is an oil sketch of this design in the Pinacoteca Sabauda in Turin executed in 1756. The drawing has an overlay of ruled squares which indicates that this is the preliminary sketch for the Turin painting.
Inscription:
On contemporary paper added along the lower margin is "Ecole Italienne, Galliari (Bernardino)".
