Engraved in reverse by Aegidius Sadeler (ca. 1555-1609?) (Hollstein XXI, p. 8, no. 2). The instructions inscribed on the drawing were followed by the engraver, and except for the omission of the column and its heavy pedestal at the far left of the drawing, no other major alterations in De Vos's drawing were made.

Inscription: 

Inscribed at lower left within scroll, probably in the artist's hand, in brown ink, "desen brief oft rolle suldy wt / laten en[de] maken pavement"; at center within scroll, "dese spatie sal ick ledich regte (?) / blijven om lettern te setten".
