Inscribed on verso of lining, in hand of Hans M. Calmann, in graphite, "Vignon"; numbered below in lower right corner in graphite, "5"; in right corner, in brown ink, '6-1-". Penciled on old mount, in hand of J. Byam Shaw, "Attrd. ["rd" superscript] Claude Vignon".
