Watermark: coat of arms with fleur-de-lis surmounted by crown, and letter W [Whatman].
A similarity in the treatment of the trees in this drawing, with their feathery foliage, to those of "Jacob and Laban and His Two Daughters," c. 1785, at the Wichita Art Museum, suggests a date for this drawing in the 1780's.
