Formerly attributed to Anonymous, Italian School, North, 15th cent., or Venetian, ca. 1480.
The drawing is one of a group of six pen studies published by Romolo Artioli in 1899. At the time, the drawings were bound into an edition of the "Great Latin Bible", published by Conrad Sweynheym and Arnold Pannartz in 1471-72 in Rome in 5 volumes.
