Description:
Although sometimes identified as a figure of St. Christopher, the absence of a Christ Child from the composition leaves that uncertain. The drawing is Emilian, and attributions to either Bernardino Gatti and Girolamo Mazzola Bedoli have been considered, but without a strong case having been made in support of either artist.
Notes:
Watermark: none.
