Inscribed on mount, in pen and red ink, "Rymsdyk's Museum"; in pen and dark brown ink, "Bramante d'Urbino (cancelled)"; "Born at Castel Durante / in 1444 (cancelled); died at Rome in / 1514 (cancelled)"; in graphite, "Cossa", on verso of mount, in pen and dark brown ink, "B'"; "AIVA"; "Bramante ---. / Out of one of ye litle books / of y[e] Old Earle of Arundelle".
