Unidentified Italian collector (formerly associated with the so-called Borghese Albums), probably a sixteenth-century Venetian, now tentatively identified as Zaccaria Sagredo (Lugt S. 2103a); Michon, Paris; Italico Brass, Venice; purchased in Venice in 1958 by Janos Scholz, New York (no mark; see Lugt S. 2933b).
