Inscription: 

Inscribed and dated by the artist at upper right, in brown ink, "Tot Bergen op Zoom: 1672:". Inscribed on the verso, at lower right, in graphite, "11". On the old mount (no longer attached), in graphite, at upper center, possibly in the hand of Sir Bruce Ingram, "Bergen op Zoom / by Valentin Klotz"; and at lower right, in the hand of Carlos van Hasselt, "geschenken in 1961 / aan Carlos v. Hasselt / door Bruce en Lady Ingram".
