Binding: 
Contemporary Venetian olive green morocco (174 x 119 mm), by the Fugger Binder for Granvelle (Piquard's type A), covers tooled in silver (now tarnished) with leafy arabesque stamps to form a central lozenge within an interlaced frame, spine with a small leafy stamp across each compartment, some deckle edges, edges painted with dotted border and the author's name in a small blue panel across the fore-edge, with the number 3 at the foot of each fore-edge, later paper labels with manuscript lettering in French (with inventory number 1133) at head of spines, stubs from two pairs of ties.

Armorial ink stamp on verso of each title-page, inventory numbers and shelf marks on title-pages.
