Binder's statement in ML&M files: In June of 2004, I rented an apartment in Florence, Italy. The month-long stay was my son's high-school graduation present. The apartment, called Le Terrazze, was the top three floors of a renovated plazzo on Via Tornabuoni. Every room had a terrace or balcony, and every window had a spectacular view of the city. My favorite view was filled with seemingly inexplicable objects. This is the front "window" on my binding. The back cover is another window view. The violets on the spine are part of the story.
