Binding: 
Full white vellum with two leather ties; front cover painted in gouache and gilt by Sir Edward Burne-Jones with a scene of King David playing a lyre next to a winged angel in a panel, with a caption at head and foot of the design reading, "Liber psalmoru[m] / David regis Israel". Around the panel are extracts from psalm 148 lettered in gilt. Flyleaves watermarked "G WILMOT 1891". Housed in green morocco folding box.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Inscribed on front flyleaf in an unidentified hand, "This book was painted by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Bt. & given to his friend H.M. Gaskell."
