Bound in contemporary black morocco, gold-tooled with a drawer-handle tool, small solid circles and stars, a four-lobed flower with two leaves, a rosette with seven petals, and an acorn; attributed to Samuel Mearne, although tools and pattern more closely resemble those of the Queen's Binders D or A, or especially those of anonymous London bindings of the 1670's.
