Danish masterpiece binding, Copenhagen guild of bookbinders, second half (last third?), 18th century; red goatskin, gilt to an overall compartment design of clusters of floral tools and sprays, with vases and star-and-sunbursts, within rules to a pattern of concentric circles and rectangles, with a distinctive heart-shaped compartment at the corners of the wide border.
