19th-century, English dark brown morocco, with original panels of 16th-century Italian (Bologna) gold- and blind-tooled dark brown morocco laid over front and rear paper boards, sewn on 3 supports; repaired by Sandford and Clarke. Front board titled: "Grammaticha Aldi" and rear board with name "Alex: Farnesii". Polished cream paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves.
