This book was originally written for Henri IV, afterwards reproduced for Anne of Austria, Louis XIII's portrait being inserted.
Léonard Gaultier engraved the t.p., a portrait of Louis XIII, two of Henri IV and the illustrations for the calendrier with the exception of the illustrations for December which was engraved by I. Swefinck. The engraved portrait of the author is unsigned.
