Morgan Seal 1035
Provenance:
Acquired by Pierpont Morgan sometime between 1885 and 1908.
Notes:

"Seal 1035 is added to this group because it has two motifs, a procession scene and a contest frieze. Its engraving, however, differs from that of the other seals of the group in that it shows less use of the drill and has sharper, finer lines. The tubular bodies of the human figures are not unlike those in a seal from Susa (Louvre S. 542)."--Porada, CANES, p. 143
