Notes: 

"In 1006 a tree is held aloft by dancers rendered like gods in ascending posture. A suppliant female figure, probably a derivation from the Old Babylonian suppliant goddess, stands beside them; this would indicate that the figrres holding the tree, if not superhuman, are at least engaged in a sacred ritual centering about the tree."--Porada, CANES, p. 139
