Male figure with curved weapon, female(?) figure, and goddess with square miter

between 1600 B.C. and 1350 B.C.
hematite
18.5 x 8.5 mm
Morgan Seal 994
Provenance:
Acquired by Pierpont Morgan sometime between 1885 and 1908.
Notes:

"Seal 993 and 994, however, present some similar Syrian figures, but in a cursory manner ... In 994 the central figure is too much mutilated for further comment; the careless rendering of the goddess at the right, who is attired like a comparable figure in 956, suggests a late dating for this seal."--Porada, CANES, p. 134
