The exhibition David Hockney: Drawing from Life explores portraits made by the artist of the same people over many years, including Hockney’s mother. Simon Levenson, Artist and National Arts Club instructor, will lead participants through a sketching challenge to draw a family member's past or future portrait.

Craft materials:

  • Paper, pencil, eraser; colored pencils optional
  • Participants may choose to enhance their time travel portrait with costume elements from around the house

Family workshops are designed for adults and children to enjoy together. Recommended for children ages 7–14. No experience required.

Please note that the program will take place online. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to participate using Zoom. We ask that you download the app in advance for the best user experience.
