Where did paint come from in the Middle Ages? Take a close look at some of the most stunning illuminated manuscripts in the Morgan’s collection and discuss the origins of the colors that fill the pages. Workshop participants will then use traditional tools to make pigments, mix watercolor paints, learn how to apply 22-karat gold leaf, and craft their own medieval-inspired masterpiece. All materials will be provided.

This program is intended only for undergraduate and graduate students with a valid ID. Space is limited.
