Celebrate Black voices in art and literature with a special behind-the-scenes look at the Sherman Fairchild Reading Room.
The Reading Room serves researchers of rare materials with a focus on the history, art, and literature of the Western world. College students will view works from the Morgan’s large reference collection including Kara Walker: a black hole is everything a star longs to be, Encyclopedia of the Black Arts Movement, At freedom’s door: African American founding fathers and lawyers in Reconstruction South Carolina, and more!
This program is intended only for undergraduate and graduate students with a valid ID.
