From the director of Napoléon and J'accuse, in this silent film a railway engineer adopts a young girl orphaned by a train crash. Years later when she starts getting suitors, he grapples with whether or not to tell her the truth about her parentage. Blaise Cendrars was an assistant to the director on the film. The exhibition Blaise Cendrars (1887–1961): Poetry Is Everything will be open before the screening.
