
In partnership with the George and Nora London Foundation for Singers, Megan Moore will perform a new song cycle by Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer (Dead Man Walking, Moby Dick) based on Nora London's as yet unpublished World War II diary which tells the dramatic story of her escape from France as a 15-year-old Jewish teenager.
In addition, Moore, a 2022 George London Award winner, will perform a program of music by Mahler, Rossini, Strozzi, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev.

Megan Moore, lyric coloratura mezzo-soprano, is quickly garnering attention as an artist of versatility and depth in a broad range of repertoire. During the 2023-24 season, Moore made her Seattle Opera debut singing Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia; reprised her portrayal of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with the San Diego Opera; and debuted the role of Sesto in Handel’s Julius Cesar at the Opera Theater of St. Louis.
A limited number of free tickets are available for college students with a valid ID.
This concert takes place in Gilder Lehrman Hall on the Ground Floor. Doors to the Hall will open 30 minutes before the concert begins.
