Alastair Laing, Thaw Senior Fellow at the Drawing Institute and longtime curator of paintings for the National Trust in the United Kingdom, will deliver the inaugural Thaw Lecture. He investigates the audience for, and function of, the 10,000 drawings Rococo master François Boucher claimed to have produced.
Sponsored by the Drawing Institute, the annual Thaw Lecture explores questions related to the role of drawing in the creative process.
